As we prepare for BAMT2026, we would like to share our ongoing commitment to accessibility for all delegates, presenters, Service Users and guests. We have made every effort to listen to and learn from feedback from previous conferences, and this has informed our decisions throughout the planning process.
This year, BAMT2026 will be delivered as an online conference via a dedicated digital platform. It has been important to us to ensure that the platform is as accessible and inclusive as possible, enabling participants to engage fully with all aspects of the conference from their own environments. Having a range of customisable accessibility options was a top priority when selecting the platform.
We are sincerely grateful to those who have contacted us to share their accessibility needs. We have responded to this feedback and incorporated it into the planning of the event. For example, we are committed to producing a dyslexia-friendly version of the programme, and all presenters have been asked to follow guidance from the British Dyslexia Association when preparing their materials.
If your access needs change at any point, or if you would prefer to discuss them directly, you are very welcome to contact the conference organisers in advance at [insert contact email]. We are happy to support you in any way we can.
We have also worked to design a more accessible programme structure. We recognise that previous conferences have been busy, with multiple sessions running throughout the day, so we have included fewer concurrent sessions and more regular breaks to support accessibility and reduce fatigue.
The conference platform will host the full programme, book of abstracts, and all session links. We will provide clear guidance on how to access and navigate the platform ahead of the event.
Following feedback and in support of accessibility, we will also offer recordings of Oral Presentations, Roundtables and keynotes as an on-demand service after the conference. Sessions where consent has been given for recording will be indicated in the programme, and further details on how to access these recordings will be shared soon.
We are committed to creating an inclusive and welcoming online space. We recognise that accessibility needs can vary, and we remain open to ongoing dialogue. Please do get in touch at any stage regarding the accessibility of the conference, and we will do our best to make any necessary adjustments as promptly as possible.
If you have any questions, please get in touch with us via bamtconf@bamt.org
We look forward to welcoming you to BAMT2026.
Thank you.
